Buddy Ball

Pair up with a local special needs child for the upcoming baseball season.

Buddies work one-on-one with players, both at bat and in the field. Players include both boys and girls, and range in age from 5-18. The players have a wide range of handicaps, including physical disabilities, autism, down syndrome, etc. It is not expected that you have a lot of knowledge or experience with baseball or with working with handicapped kids. It is also not expected that you participate every single Sunday afternoon this fall, although it is desirable for volunteers to come as often as possible so that they can get to know the players that they're working with. The Fall season is currently staffed - but sontact Sadie if you're interested in Spring semester.
